The Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro “Gold Medal” is a colorway of Kobe Bryants fourth signature shoe that debuted in 2009 and was reissued in 2024. Inspired by the late basketball legends captaincy of the 2008 Mens Olympic Basketball team at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, the Gold Medal is one of the most popular colorways of Bryants fourth signature shoe with Nike Basketball. The upper features Metallic Gold overlays on the toe, forefoot, and heel with a snakeskin texture in honor of Bryants Black Mamba nickname. Flywire cables appear on the white leather mid-panel. A Dark Obsidian Swoosh with red trim can be found on either side of the shoe. Bryants Olympic number 10 appears on the heel, and his Sheath logo with Nike is seen on the tongue.
