The Nike Air Max 1 86 Big Bubble – Red is a special release from Nikes Air Max Day 2023 collection that brings back the styling of the classic running shoe that debuted in 1986. Based on the original Air Max 1 construction, the Air Max 1 86 Big Bubble features a bigger visible Max Air cushioning bubble in the heel of the foam midsole, a design that is consistent with the OG release. Also like the original Air Max 1, this iteration features a white mesh base with light grey synthetic overlays. The shoes University Red mudguard and Swoosh are also inspired by the original Air Max 1. Classic Nike Air and Air Max 1 branding appear on the heel and tongue tag, respectively.
