The Nike Air Force 1 Low Color of the Month – Yellow Jewel is a colorway of the retro basketball shoe inspired by the old school Color of the Month series started by Baltimore sneaker shops in 1984. By ordering the Air Force 1 in an assortment of colorways from Nike, the aforementioned Baltimore sneaker stores helped save the shoe from being discontinued after the model fell out of favor as a performance basketball shoe. The Color of the Month collection in the present day honors and revives the look of the Air Force 1s from the throwback line. The Yellow Jewel features an eye-catching Speed Yellow leather design. A white jewel Swoosh appears on both sides. The Nike Air branding on the heel is reminiscent of the styling found on the original AF1 from the early-to-mid 1980s.
