The Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 Mellow is a collaboration between the Boston based sneaker boutique and Nike on the vintage running shoe in a colorway inspired by 1960s and 1970s youth culture. The Mellow colorway draws favorably from the eras music festivals, specifically the 69 Harlem Cultural Festival, which was headlined by the likes of Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, and many more. The unique fashion worn by the festivals headlining acts and concert goers informs the eye-catching bandana, cowhide, denim, and woven materials found on the Mellows design.
