The Air Jordan 8 Rui Hachimura is the signature colorway of the vintage basketball shoe worn by the NBAs first-ever Japanese-born first-round draft pick. Rui Hachimura starred at the University of Gonzaga in the college ranks before being selected by the Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft. Soon thereafter the talented forward signed a shoe contract with Jordan Brand, and designed this Jordan 8 dedicated to Japanese craft textiles. The shoes upper is constructed in Twine-colored cracked leather and suede. Contrasting red accents are found throughout the design and are a nod to the color of Japans flag.
